These car rental terms and conditions apply to all services provided by our company, MoldovaCar, for car hire in Chișinău and throughout the Republic of Moldova.
By signing the rental agreement, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and fully accepted these terms.
The minimum age for car hire in Chișinău is 23 years.
The client must hold a valid driving licence for at least 3 years.
A passport or ID card must be presented when collecting the vehicle.
The minimum rental period is 2 days.
Rentals for shorter periods are charged at the minimum applicable rate.
The client must comply with all traffic laws in the Republic of Moldova.
The vehicle may only be used on public roads and under legal conditions.
Participation in races, towing, off-road driving, or driving in restricted areas is prohibited.
We do not provide vehicles for taxi services, and the driver is not allowed to give the vehicle to any third party without the company’s written consent.
For clients with documents issued in the Republic of Moldova: 2000 MDL or 100 EUR.
For clients with documents issued outside the Republic of Moldova: 350 EUR.
The deposit is fully refunded upon vehicle return, provided there are no damages, fines, or additional costs.
Payment can be made by credit/debit card or in cash upon vehicle collection.
All major international and local cards are accepted.
Bookings can be made online, by phone, or directly at our Chișinău office.
Booking confirmation is sent via email or phone after checking availability.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before collection may incur a cancellation fee.
Vehicles are supplied and must be returned with a full tank (“full-to-full”).
If returned with less fuel, the cost of the missing fuel plus a refuelling fee will be charged.
In the event of a breakdown or accident, the client must contact the company immediately.
We provide 24/7 roadside assistance throughout the Republic of Moldova.
A replacement vehicle may be provided subject to availability.
You can collect the vehicle directly at Chișinău Airport and return it to our Chișinău office free of charge.
Delivery and collection in other locations within Moldova are available upon request for an additional fee.
Leaving the Republic of Moldova with the rented vehicle is only permitted with the company’s written consent.
Additional insurance and mileage charges may apply.
The client is responsible for any damage to the vehicle during the rental period, as stated in the rental agreement.
Any violation of these car rental terms and conditions may result in immediate contract termination and deposit forfeiture.
